Some Great Local Spots In Central Maine To Eat, Enjoy A Beverage, And Watch The Super Bowl On Sunday

Super Bowl 51 between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons is quickly approaching and it should be a great game. Lots of people host or go to private parties for the big game, but many prefer to go out and hit up some of the local spots in Central Maine and watch the game with friends.

Here's a few places that will be doing it up right for Super Bowl Sunday.

Augusta Elks Lodge, 397 Civic Center Drive
Augusta, Maine 04330 

I went to the Augusta Elks the last time the Pats were in the Super Bowl, and I have to tell you, they do it up right. A great food buffet, drink specials, raffles and giveaways all day long, followed by the game on the big screens in the Sports lounge. Always a great time.

The Quarry Tap Room, 122 Water Street, Hallowell, Maine 

Love this place! The Quarry Tap Room is a great spot right in the heart of downtown Hallowell and they will be partying all day on Sunday. They will be having giveaways, a patriots menu, firepits, cornhole, and music, along with $2.00 Miller Lite and Bud lights. Should be a great time.

The Pointe Afta 252 China Rd, Winslow, ME 

Another great spot to eat, have a beverage and enjoy the game. The Pointe Afta is a great sports bar and should be hopping on Sunday. There will be giveaways (including Patriots prizes) and plenty of TV's situated throughout the room for a perfect seat to the game. Great wings, pizza, steak tips and specials at the Pointe!

The Bench 418 Water St, Gardiner, ME

Another great sports bar, The Bench is located in Downtown Gardiner and is a great place to watch the game. They will have give aways and prizes to win, free food like nachos and hot dogs at 5PM (until it runs out) and also a DJ at halftime to work off some of that food and drink. Sounds like a great time.

The Ground Round Sports Grille Whitten Road, Hallowell

Where else can you bowl a few strings and then unwind in the lounge with some great food and drink? The Ground Round, located inside Spare Time Recreation, will be serving up $3.00 24 ounce Bud Lights for the Super Bowl and their awesome menu will be available prior to, and during the game.

Lisa's Restaurant and Catering 15 Bangor St, Augusta, ME

Lisa's Restaurant is always a great spot to meet up with friends. It is kind of like the "Cheers" of Augusta, where everybody knows your name. The food is always good, and the drinks are always cold at Lisa's. There will be drink specials during the game, and you can be sure a local and vocal crowd will be on hand watching the Patriots.

T & B's Outback Tavern-Skowhegan 414 Madison Avenue Skowhegan, ME

T & B's Outback Tavern is throwing a great Super Bowl Party. Party starts at 3:00, they will be playing fun games all day. Food and drink specials all day. $2.25 16 oz Bud/Bud Light Aluminum Bottles. Prizes and giveaways.throughout the day. Reservations might be a good idea as they are expecting a full house.
