UPDATE: Gardiner Assault Victim Dies
UPDATE (12:30 PM on January 29th)
According to a press release from Maine Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland, one of the victims of an early Saturday morning assault in Gardiner has passed away from his injuries.
22 year old Jordan Johnson was being treated for a gunshot wound at Portland's Maine Medical Center. Following Johnson's passing, detectives charged Dylan Ketcham of Gardfiner with murder. Ketcham is expected to make his first court appearance on the murder charge this afternoon at 3:30 at the Augusta Judicial Center.
The other man injured in the assault, who was stabbed, continues to be hospitalized for his wounds.

According to a press release from McCausland, Maine State Police and Gardiner Police are investigating the assault of two men early Saturday morning.
The men were found outside a home on Lincoln Ave in Gardiner at about 1 AM. One man had been shot, the other had been stabbed. Bother men were taken to MaineGeneral in Augusta before being flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where they had emergency surgery.
Police were alerted when one of the men came to the door of the home asking for help.
Police located, and took into custody, a suspect about half a mile from where the men were found.
At this time, none of the names of those involved have been released.
