There really is something magical about the rugged coast of Maine.  There is a reason why people come from all over the world to cruise up and down our coastline.  While our coast lacks sandy beaches, the State of Maine makes up for it with the amazing scenery - rocky cliffs, lighthouses, islands, and more.

One of the most memorable ways you can explore the coast of Maine is on a chartered luxury yacht.  Imagine you and your guests having control over where you go and what you see.

You probably think chartering a luxury yacht is out of your financial grasp, right?  It is something that can only be enjoyed by the rich?  It is actually way more affordable than you think.

The M/Y Indigo is a state of the art yacht that has a classic look and feel.  Unlike the modern yachts we've seen bringing celebrities and the ultra-wealthy to the coast of New England the last few years, the Indigo looks more like the type of vessel that politicians and movie stars had back in the 40s, 50s, and 60s.

The yacht, and her crew, split their time between Maine and Florida.  They cruise the coast of Maine from about June through September.  The vessel spends the rest of the year taking people on tours of Florida.

Take A Look Inside The Yacht "Indigo"

The 60 foot long Indigo has a cruising speed of 27 knots. She was custom built by Goetz Custom Yachts in Bristol, RI. She may not be a super-yacht, but she has cabins, a full bathroom, and a small galley. Get more details from their website.

Maine excursions include a lighthouse tour, a brunch tour, and half day or full day adventures where you (for the most part) get to set the course.  You can also charter the boat on 3 or 4 day trips.  Prices range from $1,300 to $2,500 for the normal trips.  A custom trip runs about $3,500 per night.
