It's been over a decade since Heritage NH closed.  From the Summer of 1976, through the end of the 2006 season, visitors to the Storyland-adjacent attraction learned about the history of the Granite State (and New England in general) from historical interpreters and interactive displays.

Finally, a new project is breathing life into the old (formerly) Federalist-style building.  According to the Storyland website, the building is being transformed into an aquarium.

The Living Shores Aquarium will feature 32,000 square feet of attractions where visitors can actually touch Stingrays, Bamboo Sharks, and a variety of crabs.  There'll also be displays specifically designed to showcase New England sea life.  After you check out the ocean life, you can visit the tropical birds in the aviary.  The aquarium will feature an on-site Italian restaurant and it will be open year-round.

No opening date has been set, but you can keep an eye on their Facebook page for more info

The aquarium will be located next to Storyland in Glen, NH

One of the main reasons I am so excited to see them open a new attraction in this building is that I am a former Heritage NH employee.  Back in the day, I played the "Woodsman" and also was in charge of demonstrating the Segway.
