Do you panic at the thought of losing your kids when you visit a public place?  Places like fairs, busy malls, or a family trip to an amusement park?

The real question is, are you even a parent if you don't panic about these things?.

I'm that parent, the one that panics at the thought of my kids being kidnapped right before my eyes. So, I'd like to share a little parenting tip that I've been doing for years.

Once you arrive at your destination and get everyone and everything out of your car, put your kids next to your vehicle and take a picture of them. Be sure that you can see their whole outfit, from their shoes to their hair color and style.

Why do you need a picture that shows them from head to toe?

Well, if you and your child ever become separated, the first question that security will ask you is what your child is wearing. This full-body picture will make it easier on you as a panicking parent in an already stressful situation. Instead of explaining detail for detail what your child looks like and is wearing, you can show the authorities the picture, and it will mean they spend more time looking for a child that they already know looks like.

So, don't forget when you're headed on your next family outing or vacation to take the 10 extra seconds and snap a picture of your child.
