With all of the bad stuff going on in the world right now, we are glad to be able to share some good news with you.

According to a post on the Lewiston Police Department Facebook page, a missing 15 year old girl from Oakland has been found safe.

Lanie Nolan, who had been living at New Beginnings in Lewiston, was found safe in the State of Nebraska.  Arrangements are being made to return her to her parents in Maine.

The post says, in part:

We are very pleased that Lanie has been located and that she is safe. We would like to acknowledge and thank everyone that assisted with this missing person investigation; including family members, friends and community members, LPD detectives and officers as well as the many dedicated law enforcement professionals who contributed in Lanie being found safe.

It had previously been thought that she was in the company of an adult male from California.  While that has not been confirmed, it has been stated that 23 year old  Taylor Hauke,  of Vacaville, California is being held in Nebraska pending criminal charges.

According to a post on the Lewiston Maine Police Department Facebook page, law enforcement is looking for the public's help in locating a missing 15 year old girl.

Lanie Nolan, who is originally from Oakland, had been living at New Beginnings in Lewiston. She was last seen at about 2:30 PM on Thursday (March 18th).  She said she was "going for a walk".  New Beginnings staff contacted Lewiston PD when she had not returned by 4 PM.

The male is reportedly from California and may be driving a blue 2001 Ford Mustang with California plate number 5LQL188.

Nolan is described as being 5’04” tall and weighing about 180 lbs,   She has blond hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown sweatshirt, with gray pants and sneakers.  Additionally, she was wearing glasses.
