When you think of Maine, you think of small towns and not much in the way of crime. Surprisingly, that isn't the case when it comes to Augusta. According the the website Neighborhood Scout dot com, Augusta is above the national average when it comes to both violent and property crime. Augusta's violent crime rate of 4.76 per 1,000 people is above the national average of 3.8 per 1,000. Augusta was also above average when it came to the property crime rate. Augusta property crime rate of 61.32 per 1,000, while the national average is 26 per 1,000.

This happens to be where our studios are located! This is the area between Memorial Circle and includes the area near the Capitol Building.
2. City Center
This includes the heart of downtown and expands just past the airport and almost to the edge of the civic center.
This area covers just north of the civic center and expands to the northern edge of the city along the bog and middle roads.
The second safest neighborhood in Augusta is also the largest in area and it covers along routes 201, 105 and 202. Heading out to the Vassalboro town line and also covers the North Belfast Avenue area.
This area covers from Cony Circle up to Stone Street and east along Route 17 as you head towards Togus and Windsor.
