There are times when Maine feels a little like a mini version of Florida.  Not because of the food, the beaches, or the tourists.  Nope.  Sometimes The Pine Tree State (AKA Vacationland) feels a little like Florida is because of some of the crime stories that come from Maine.

According to WGME, two people have been arrested in Buxton following an alleged robbery and carjacking.

Initially, 35-year-old Devan Goodson, of Lyman, claimed she picked up a hitchhiker on Main Street near the Bars Mills Bridge on Monday.  She claimed the hitchhiker asked her to stop at the store.  She stopped, he went into the store, and then ran out carrying two bottles of Fireball.  When the man exited the store, he threatened her with a knife and told her to drive off.  The suspect then reportedly took off.

When police reviewed the security camera footage, it appeared Goodson was a willing participant in the crime.  Police now alleged she was in on it.  In face, she reportedly admitted that Brosius is her fiance.

The man has been identified has 35-year-old Christopher Brosius.

Devan Goodson has been charged with filing a false report, while Christopher Brosius her been charged with theft.
