I guess the first lesson is a course that gives you college credits, information that will make a positive impact on your life and it is free is a good thing.

The University of Maine at Augusta is offering a finical literacy course for Maine high school students in its summer session.

UMA already offers college credit programs for high school students with their Early College Program where you can earn college credits while still in high school …and again…most of the time it is free or reduced cost per credit.

This class will take on checking and savings accounts, credit, loans, insurance, and even investing, all essential things for financial literacy. The class gets underway on May 10th, and it is an online class. There is a limit of 75 kids for this class, according to centralmaine.com, so if you are interested, do this right now to see if you can still get in.

Here is the contact information for the website  https://www.uma.edu/admission/early-college/ or email them at umaearlycollege@maine.edu.
