Sign-Up Now for Lithgow Library Summer Reading Programs

The sign-up for kids, teens, and adults are on the Lithgow Public Library in Augusta's summer reading program.

I love getting my Lithgow Public Library newsletter in the mail.

There is always such fun stuff going on, and it is excellent to see Lithgow getting back to 'normal' in so many ways and ways they have adapted to the changes due to the pandemic.

There are two challenges for the kids this year with the traditional reading challenge and virtual program; they can read and review books to earn raffle tickets to win a 3D printing pen for the teens. For the adults, you can track your reading and see how you stack up against others in the Beanstack app.

What is the Beanstack app? Check it out. It is an online portal to take part and track your progress in these fun events.

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.
