State Of Maine Updates Church Reopening Guidelines
According to WMTW, the state has update its guidelines for the reopening of places of worship.
Starting May 29th, church gatherings of up to 50 people will be allowed. The current limit is 10.
Face coverings must be worn by all attendees and social distancing must be observed. However, families (and people who live together) do not need to adhere to the social distancing requirement.
In an effort to maintain social distancing, it is recommended that churches alternate rows of pews / seats. When possible, it is suggested that services be held outdoors It is also suggested that people who are 65 years of age or older and people with immune system issues refrain from attending.
Additionally, it is recommended that, communion, refreshments and post-service meals not take place.
