Popular Maine Car Wash Chain Fast Eddies Is Expanding Again
Ed Goff, the owner of the Fast Eddie’s Express Car Washes in Augusta and Brunswick is planning to expand again.
His plan is to open a car wash similar to his other locations on Broadway Street in Bangor.
In an interview with the Bangor Daily News, Goff said:
We have had Bangor on our radar for a while now and right now feels like the right time for us.
After a search of available spots in Bangor, they settled on the former Bangor Redemption and Beverage Center at 490 Broadway Street. Goff said he chose the site because, while it is in a high traffic shopping area, it is also close to the city’s residential neighborhoods. His plan is to demolish the old redemption center, which closed in 2018, in order to build a new car wash building.
Goff needed a portion of the property rezoned from residential to commercial. Now that the City of Bangor has signed off on the change, he can proceed with construction.
In addition to providing a great car wash at a great price, Goff and his team are known for their charity. For example, in the fall of 2020, they held a haunted car wash. A portion of the proceeds from the event went to our Camp Out Hunger Food Drive. In the end, they donated more than $7,000 to help feed those in need in Central Maine.
And, the Augusta location even has a dog wash.

There has been no announcement regarding an opening date for the new location.
We wish Ed and his team the best of luck with their new location.
