The next time we have a government shutdown, a new bill proposed by Maine's Jared Golden, might entice lawmakers to come to a quicker resolution.

According to News Center Maine, the Solidarity in Salary Act would withhold paychecks from the President, Vice President, and members of Congress during any future shutdowns.

According to Golden, the bill is common sense.  It's only fair that, since government employees don't get paid during shutdowns, neither should politicians.
