You may be wondering why anyone would want to start school shopping this early when school hasn't even gotten out for the summer yet.

Well, according to Yahoo Finance, the companies that provide the US with the majority of its back to school supplies are located in China. And those companies, at least for the time being, are shut down. Companies that produce things like clothing, electronics and shoes have been indefinitely shuttered.

Experts are predicting a shortage of supplies during the busy back to school shopping month, August. That's not all though- the same experts are predicting a shortage of holiday-related items as we head into the fall/holiday season.

It may behoove you to go out and purchase what you can now, but on the other hand you also may want to avoid crowds. Certainly a tough decision to weigh out as we continue to live in unfamiliar times.
