Augusta Schools to go Fully Remote Until at Least Mid January
What a crazy year it has been, not just for students but for parents, too. Think about how many parents of young school-aged children have had to completely turn their lives around on a moments notice to cater to their child's school schedule. Of course we're not blaming the education system, they're merely doing what they feel they need to to keep our students safe. But it still doesn't make it easy.
Fortunately for many Mainers, their employers have been very flexible with their own scheduling to accommodate for these frequent changes. Some have even gone so far as to let their staff work remotely fulltime so they can always be home to care for their children when need be.
Well, there has been another change in plans to Augusta schools. According to the Kennebec Journal Article, Augusta Public Schools will be switching to a remote schedule through January, 19th.
As always, if you have any specific questions regarding your child's school or classes, you should promptly reach out to their teachers or to an administrator at the school for further details and instruction.
