46-Year-Old Maine Man Dies Tuesday After Being Arrested by Maine State Police
According to WABI TV 5, the Maine Attorney General's office is investigating a death that reportedly happened in Police custody on Tuesday morning.
Maine State Police, along with the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, were called to a residence in Patten after someone called 911 asking for help.
Upon arrival, police arrested forty-six-year-old Jeremy Lau. Shortly after being taken into custody, Lau died.
Currently, there's no indication on cause of death or what the circumstances surrounding the death were. It's also unclear at this time what emergency the original 911 call was placed for.
We will continue to update this story as the Maine Attorney General's Office releases more information pending the completion of their investigation into the death.
