Good news for the yet to be adopted puppies and kitties of Central Main!  According to WMTW, the Waterville Humane Society has reached their fundraising goal of $250,000, meaning they'll be able to remain open.

According to executive director Lisa Oakes, the shelter had been on the verge of shutting down.  She's grateful the community came out to show their support, donating everything from bags of pet food to a $5,000 check.
