Peaslee's Quickstop located on Route 17 in Jefferson celebrated 25 years in 2018 and beginning August 5th, Maritime Energy will be taking over.

The store has been a staple on the Whitefield/Jefferson line for decades for their convenient location for those heading East to Rockland or West to Augusta. A reliable central location for folks to grab a pizza or sandwiches on the fly, or a case of beer for the weekend ahead.

Forest E. Peaslee said in an interview with The Lincoln County News that he's had a longstanding relationship with Maritime Energy since the '90s and feels that they are "a good, local company" that he feels will do well with the business he built and taking care of all the customers who visit each and every day.

Peaslee owns multiple businesses in the Jefferson area. "I wanted to scale down a bit. I'm 70 years old," commented Peaslee.

This new addition to the family of Maritime Farms convenience stores adds to two that are already in Lincoln County, located in Newcastle and Waldoboro. The new Jefferson location will make for 13 locations total throughout the Midcoast area.
