According to the Boston Herald, the Patriots' wide receiver Julian Edelman was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor vandalism in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday night.

Allegedly, at around 9 PM last night, while taking a walk through Beverly Hills, he decided it was a good ideas to jump on the hood of a parked car.  Witnesses to the incident flagged down the police and explained what they had seen.  Police took Edelman, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol into custody.

He was released later that night.  There is no word on whether or not the district attorney will file charges.

The wide receiver, who played in all 16 games this season, is scheduled to undergo two surgeries in the off-season.  One will remove a "loose body" in his knee.  The other will fix a separated AC joint in his left shoulder.
