According to the KJ, less than a month away from the start of the school year, the Lewiston school district still has 80 unfilled positions.

The district has a need for 37 teachers and 46 ed techs.

According to the articles, the main reasons for the unfilled positions are promotions and retirements.  Many ed techs for recently promoted to teachers.

The district also has a need for substitute teachers.  They're offering a $100 bonus to teachers who work at least 12 days per month.

The new school year starts on August 28th!
