Heavy Rain And High Winds Could Lead To Power Outages

With the drought conditions we have had across much of Maine this summer, there are very few people that are annoyed by the rain we've had over the last few days.  However, it looks like the latest round of rain could end up being super-nasty.

According to WMTW, high winds and heavy rain on Wednesday morning could lead to power outages across Maine.

Meteorologist Roger Griswold says this could be caused by a fast moving cold front.  It is expected to roll into Maine on Wednesday (September 29th) morning and roll out of our area on Wednesday afternoon.

Depending on where you are in Central Maine or the mid-coast, we could see 45 to 55 MPH gusts.

Southern Maine, Central Maine, and the mid-coast will be under a moderate threat for power outages during this time.

Just in case, you better make sure your phone, tablets, laptops, and electric lanterns are charged.  And, check the generator to make sure it is good-to-go.

Hopefully, it won't be as nasty as the wild weather we had in October a few years ago.
