Central Maine Man Seriously Injured After Wheelie Attempt on Sled

According to the Kennebec Journal, 23-year-old Justing Brickett, is in the hospital following a serious incident involving his snowmobile.

While riding snowmobiles Tuesday with a friend in Kibby Township, located in Franklin County, Brickett was off the trail attempting to do a 'wheelie' on his 2020 Polaris RMK snowmobile.

During the attempt the snowmobile came up and ended up flipping over backwards, pinning Brickett to the ground.

According to the spokesman for Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, Mark Latti, when the sled came down on top of Brickett, the handlebars landed on his chest causing significant trauma.

After the accident, Brickett's friend removed the snowmobile from his chest and called 911. Brickett was picked up and transported by a rescue sled to a waiting ambulance which then took him to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
