Central Maine Could Set Record Low Temps Tomorrow Night

We're used to seeing blasts of cold around the state as we crank through the winter months, though temperatures like what we're going to see Wednesday night don't usually arrive until January or February.

There will be a trough hanging around long after this low pressure system that brought snow and ice to the region has moved out. As a result, a blast of arctic air will make its way into the state. By Wednesday morning, Augusta could see a temperature of 9 degrees, with wind chills making it feel even colder. According to Newscenter Maine, though many records will be challenged, they expect few to be broken.

I mean, I know it's Maine, but the Farmer's Almanac did indicate this winter would be a Polar Coaster!
