Halloween

With Halloween just around the corner, people love to excitement of ghost hunting.  It really sets the mood for this time of year.  To my surprise, you don't have to travel too far to search out spirits.  Some spots, are closer than you think.

I was truly surprised to hear about the Teal Pumpkin Project.  I think it is a great idea, which is why I want to spread awareness around the Teal Pumpkin and what it represents.  If you don't know what the Teal Pumpkin Project is...it's time to find out how you can create a safer, happier Halloween.

We are quickly approaching one of the best seasons Maine has to offer.  Autumn in Maine is truly beautiful...and with it comes lots of Fall family friendly activities to do with the kids.  If you are looking for some suggestions, consider these aMAZEing corn mazes.  Can you get through them all?

Trunk or Treating seems to be a popular trend for the Halloween season.  I'm noticing more and more communities participating in them.  If you are looking for a safe place to take your kids, here's a list of local Trunk or Treats

Stories like this are just too much to bear.  No child should have to go through things like this.  His focus should be playing sports, what costume to wear when he goes trick or treating and playing video games.  All the usual 7 year old 'kid' things.  But that's not life for Brock Chadwick, from Biddeford Maine.

So clearly, we will ALL be safe on October 31st.  There will be tons and tons of superheros among us...as that's what seems to be trending as the top costume, of choice, for our tiny human population.

A few days away from Halloween and we've put a lot of stuff on our websites about ghosts and creatures around Maine.  But, since Maine is on the Atlantic Ocean, it'd be weird if we didn't at least mention some of the scary stuff that happens on Maine's waterways.

Halloween is only one week away and as an adult, I'll admit that I sneak in a piece or two (or maybe more) of candy as I hand out the candy to the trick-or-treaters. Then there is November 1st and all that leftover candy to dive into! Before you do, let us put a big bah hum bug into your Halloween.
