Breaking: Maine’s New Hockey Team Will Be…
After much discussion, including input from the public, Maine's new ECHL team will be called the Mariners. The state's first professional hockey team, the Maine Mariners, played from 1977 -1992, before moving to Providence, Rhode Island. Logo and related graphics will be available soon. Other name finalists were Lumberjacks, Watchmen, Puffins or Wild Blueberries.
