Allan Arbus, best known for his role on the hit 70's TV show 'M*A*S*H' has died. He portrayed psychiatrist Major Sidney Freedman on the long-running series. He passed away Friday (April 19) in Los Angeles. He was 95.

Arbus was a regular on our TV screens in the 1970s and ’80s. He appeared in guest starring roles on 'Taxi,' 'Starsky & Hutch,' 'Matlock' and countless other shows.

Alan Alda, Hawkeye Pierce on 'M*A*S*H' told the New York Times that

I was so convinced that he was a psychiatrist I used to sit and talk with him between scenes.
