It was a historic day at Daytona International Speedway yesterday for the kickoff of the 2020 Daytona 500.

President Trump is the first sitting US President to be the Grand Marshal and to take the Presidential Limousine (The Beast) around the 2.5 mile track for a lap.

According to Fox News it took about 500 Secret Service agents to pull this event off and keep the President, First Lady and the crowd safe. Espcially considering Trump stood out in front of 100,000+ people to shout "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

The Presidential airplane, Airforce One, also did a low altitude (800 feet) flyover of the speedway.

What an awesome way to kick off this American racing event. And though they ended up having to postpone the race at about 20 laps in due to weather, the action picks back up today at 4pm.
