Here is a collection of the things you need to know today.....

Maine has 390 active cases of CV-19. 3,094 of the total of 3,598 in Maine are recovered and we have seen 114 deaths according to WABI.

The Maine CDC will still continue to CV-19 numbers as they have been despite changes ordered from the White House according to WABI.

The Department of Education and the Maine CDC are working together on various plans for schools this fall according to WABI.

Maine has testing and quartine exemptions for most of our neighboring states except Massachusetts and Rhode Island but the Maine Chamber would like to see that changed according to WABI.

It looks like state lawmakers will not be returning to Augusta for a special session because of a disagreement of what would be ‘scope of work’ according to WABI.

Maine’s employment office saw an increase in claims but because of the fraud, the department has seen they will investigate according to WABI.  Starting August 9th recipients need to also actively be looking for work to qualify for the benefit.

A plan with $1.1B of economic recovery recommendations was delivered to Gov Mills to help stabilize the state’s economy according to WABI.
