I have never in my life thought I would be able to watch a group of people pull an airplane. But here I am. Saturday, October 22nd, I will be at The Portland Jetport in Portland watching people pull a plane.

The event will start at 10:00 am and go until 2:00 pm.

What is this for? I am glad you asked. The Travis Mills Foundation is putting this on in supported by Northeast Air and FedEx Express.

This event involved human beings actually pulling an airplane.

As the website says,

The guts and determination it takes to pull a plane pale in comparison to the challenges America's recalibrated veteran families face in their life after service to our country.

This event will contain 20 people, called "Pit Teams" against each other in the "ultimate tug of war."

Those the teams will stand in a long line, with a rope attached to this huge FedEx plane and whichever team can pull the plan 20 feet the fastest wins.

I am excited to see if the plane moves just a tiny bit or it shoots down the runway.

Wouldn't it be cool if the team was so strong that the plane took off? Whatever happens I will be there awaiting the big pull!

The most beautiful part about this event is that all proceeds will go to the Travis Mills Foundation which is a nonprofit organization to benefit America's recalibrated veterans and their families, according to their website.

Grab your muscles and your inner strength and sign up for this years plane pull or be like me an onlooker with her jaw dropped.
