As summer comes to an end in Maine fair season begins.

Last week was the Topsham Fair and this weekend is The Acton Fair with new midway attractions and of course all the games and food you could want!

This one is how Maine fairs are done with animal exhibits, horse shows, pig scrambles, truck pulls, baking contests, live music, fun amusement rides, a skillet throwing competition for men and women, parades and of course the Ms. Acton Pageant. Car enthusiasts will love the 'Cruise'n Car Show.'

Don't miss the live entertainment by ventriloquist Donna Marie, the Stan Jr. Variety Show tribute to Elvis, magician Dana Perkins and so, so much more.

The fair runs this Thursday through Sunday at the Acton Fairgrounds on RT 109. Tickets are just 8 bucks, kids 12 and under get in free and the midway wristbands are $25.
