This bridge across the Carrabassett River may be the last wire-supported bridge of its kind in the world, and it's within driving distance in New Portland, Maine, according to Atlas Obscura. New Portland is between Bangor and the Canadian border. The bridge was built in 1866 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, according to New Portland's official website.
