According to WMTW, skeleton remains found near I-295 in Falmouth have been positively identified as Anneliese Heinig.

The remains were spotted by a kayaker on Sunday, September 12th.  They were recovered by law enforcement on Monday, September 13th.

Heinig, who was 37 years old when she went missing, has been missing since November of 2019.  She was last seen walking along I-295 on November 26th, 2019.

Her vehicle was later found on the side of the road.

Police do not suspect foul play in her death.
