Man Dies In One-Car Crash In Chelsea

State Police say a man has died from his injuries following a one car crash in Chelsea early  Monday morning (Oct. 2).

According to Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland, the victim is Craig MacMunn, 39, of Washington, Maine. McCausland said MacMunn died last night at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

MacMunn’s SUV struck a utility pole and rock embankment at the intersection of Route 17 and Windsor Road, McCausland said.  The crash was reported just after 2AM Monday.  Troopers said speed was a factor and MacMunn was not wearing his seat belt, according to McCausland.
