You've heard us talk about "Maine's own Amy Allen" more and more recently. She helped Selena Gomez get a top 20 hit last summer by co-writing "Back To You."

She has worked with Spose, written for Shawn Mendes, whose album has been nominated for a Grammy in the category of Best Pop Vocal Album. She has more work that will be released in the upcoming months but for now she is staying tight lipped about those projects, according to an article in the Press Herald.

And she is showing no signs of slowing down as she now gets ready to travel all over the place to make it to writing sessions with other artists, sometimes booking two writing sessions per day!

While growing up in Windham and attending Waynflete School in Portland Amy recorded a studio album of her own music. By the time she was in college at Berklee College of Music in Boston, she spent six weeks as a contestant on the NBC singing competition “The Voice.”

Her most recent work with Halsey has landed Amy her very first number one hit on radio with the song "Without Me."

What's next for sweet little Amy Allen from Windham? Anything she wants!
