It was announced at the beginning of the year that four Maine newspapers; Augusta’s Kennebec Journal, Waterville’s Morning Sentinel, the Lewiston Sun Journal and Portland Press Herald would stop printing Monday editions of their newspapers as of March 2, 2020.

Well, that is next week.

They will still have the news and information you want and need but it will be on their websites and apps. While it is not as cozy and sitting in front of the fire reading the paper with a cup of coffee I am guessing many of us we're not doing that!

According to Newscenter it is a cost-savings move. The cost reduction from this move allows the papers to keep doing what the do and this doing gathering and writing news, researching stories that require deeper digging and keeping journalism alive while balancing the needs of readers and advertisers.
