Charlotte's Legendary Lobster Pound anticipates their 'High-End' lobsters available to the public as early as next month.  With stories circulating that the state has shut their idea down, the eatery clears up exactly what's going on...according to them.

The restaurant recently made national news with their idea to hot-box the crustacean, with pot, before boiling.  The theory behind it...the lobsters are more calm before their untimely execution.

According to the Portland Press Herald:

The Maine Health Inspection Program is investigating Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster Pound but it hasn’t issued any findings yet, said Emily Spencer, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Health and Human Services, the agency that oversees the program. She would not say if the agency had asked the owner, Charlotte Gill, to stop the practice during the investigation.
