It seems like every week, for the last two or three weeks, we've been passing along severe weather warnings to our audience and it looks like we have to do it again this week.

According to WGME 13, Maine is going to be subjected to the possibility of 'strong' thunderstorms again today.

WGME says this is now the third time in a week that a hefty portion of the Pine Tree State will be at risk for these strong storms. They DO go on to say that overall the threat is fairly low, but where those storms do pop up, residents could be faced with large hail, damaging winds and potential flash flooding.

The threat from today's storms, according to the news station, is from an approaching cold front from the western side of Maine. That, plus increasing humidity throughout the day begins to make a near-perfect recipe for at least a couple of thunderboomers to pop up.

As for the timing of these potential storms, WGME says that it won't be until later in the day on Thursday and, at least for Central Maine, the timing of the biggest threat of weather, extends out into the evening hours on Thursday.

Weekend weather looks to be pretty spectacular (and warm) and WGME says there is virtually a 0 percent chance of rain over the two days, which is good, because I really need to mow my lawn.
