According to the Sun Journal, an ad on Craigslist is causing issues for a man in Greene.

The ad directs people to "free" stuff at a specific lot on Rt 202 on the Greene / Leeds line.  The problem?  It's a fake ad!

Property owner George Stanley, who is visiting Florida, has no intention of giving away all of his stuff.

Neighbors have reported seeing about a dozen vehicles a day at the lot.  According to a Sun Journal interview with Mr. Stanley, the "looters" have even gone as far as using bolt cutters to break into the the building.  They've taken fruit trees, roofing supplies worth $45 per bundle,  generators and a sunshade with solar lights.  Literally thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.  Some of the items are brand new and still in their boxes.

The ad, which appears to have been posted on September 25, has been taken down.  Unfortunately, thanks to word spreading on social media, people continue to loot the lot.
