Mark Halle, 32 of Waterville is accused of sexually assaulting an elderly woman in Waterville earlier this month. Today (Feb. 17) the judge, in his case, set bail at $500,000. The state had requested that he be held without bail. The bail has a condition that Halle does not contact the victim or be near her residence.

The State Police Computer Crimes Unit arrested a Rockland man and charged him with possessing child pornography on Feb. 8.

State Police are looking for a man who fled on foot after his car crashed into a tree off the Pond Road in Manchester on Feb. 4. Earlier in the night, that car was involved in two high speed chases with both State and Winthrop police.
