Winthrop Middle Schooler Gets A Surprise Visit From Her Hero

Eleven year old Winthrop Middle School student Sage Fortin had a chance to meet her hero after winning an essay contest.

According to WABI TV, she chose to write about Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills.  After hearing she had won with an essay written about him, Mills decided to show up to hear her read the essay.

He said, “I appreciate that I get to inspire young people and show them to never give up never quit and she nailed it."
