UMA to Offer Aviation Degree

The University Of Maine Board Of Trustees said 'OK' to a new Bachelor of Science degree in aviation. The degree program will be offered at the University Of Maine Augusta. According to the KJ, the program was created to meet a growing need for commercial aviation professionals.

The program is geared toward students interested in becoming FAA-certified commercial pilots while earning a degree. The new degree program comes from collaboration between UMA and Maine Instrument Flight at the Augusta Airport.
