The NEXT Total Solar Eclipse Will Darken Maine
Unless you've been living under a rock, you know about this Monday's (August 21st) total solar eclipse. Hit should "peak" in Central Maine at about 2:30 Monday afternoon. Even though we'll see the Moon take a chunk out of the Sun, we are nowhere near the Line of Totality - where it gets pitch black. But, 2024's eclipse will be a completely different story.
According to Wikipedia, the next total solar eclipse will take place on April 8th, 2024 and should completely darken Central Maine. It will start in Mexico and work its way across the United States, ending in New Brunswick, Canada.
