Today is Ayla Reynolds' third birthday and still no answers about what has happened to the little girl. According to the state police the case is to be open and active, but there are no new developments. Ayla was reported missing from her home in Waterville December 17 of 2011.
The mom’s family of missing toddler Ayla Reynolds has now given a summary of the January meeting with police investigators. Ayla’s step grandfather posted a summary of the meeting on his website about the missing little girl. He said that the state police told the family they believe that Ayla is dead.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said North Street bridge in Waterville had scheduled maintenance and that provided the opportunity for police to search the area again.
