Road Trip! One Of The Best Indoor Water Parks Is In New England

So, you want to take the family on a weekend winter getaway, but you're not to thrilled with outdoor activities?  Then, Kahuna Laguna might be the perfect thing!

Located at North Conway, New Hampshire's Red Jacket Resort, Kahuna Laguna has, on several occasions, been named one of USA Today's top indoor water parks in America.

It features a three-story tower that has two slides and two tubes: Bamboo Blast, Super Tsunami, Kahuna Falls and Laguna Plunge.  All four of these end up in a 43,000 gallon pool. There's also a 67,000 gallon wave pool that features two waterfalls.  The Bamboo Bay Adventure Center has nets for climbing, water cannons, and a 175-gallon tipping bucket that will soak everyone!  There are also several splash zones, an in-pool basketball court, and an arcade.

For the adults and older kids, there's even a hot tub and the snack bar does serve beer, wine, and frozen cocktails.

Attached to a hotel that has restaurants, you really could spend your entire stay at the water park, but (as a former resident) I would get out to see what the area has to offer.  New Hampshire's Mount Washington Valley has a lot to see, and do, and eat.
