New Augusta Restaurant Officially Opens Tuesday

According to the Augusta Downtown Alliance Facebook page, State Lunch Craft and Kitchen opens for lunch and dinner on Tuesday (February 25th).

Specialties of the restaurant, located at 217 Water Street in Augusta, include the Shio Ramen Bowl, Chicken + Waffles, and Thai Curry Coconut Mussels.

State Lunch's creative cocktails are Willy Wonka-themed.  The Golden Ticket is a bourbon-based cocktail that incorporates lemon and chili syrup.  The Fizzy Lifting Drink is a mixture of vodka with grapefruit and lemon juices.  Candy Is Dandy But Axis Is Sour incorporates Cushnoc Axis of Sour beer along with Prosecco and Galliano.

They held a soft opening Saturday night and will do another tonight (February 23rd) at 5 PM.

State Lunch joins a growing number of recent restaurant (and bar) openings in downtown Augusta.  Cushnoc, Raging Bull, Otto's On The River, and Oak Table and Bar have all opened in Maine's capital city over the last few years.
