Much Of Maine Will End The Week With “Oppressive” Heat
If you've been waiting for good beach weather, you're going to love what we have in store for later this week,
According to WMTW, we can expect some "oppressive" heat on Thursday and Friday of this week.
Right now, it is looking like Central Maine will see a high of around 89 degrees on Thursday and a high in excess of 90 degrees on Friday. And, we probably won't see overnight temperatures drop below 70 degrees.
On top of that, it is going to be extremely humid.
If you are susceptible to heat, please make sure you stay cool and stay hydrated.
This weather is a bit of a departure from what we have been dealing with for the most of the temperature. You may have noticed that this summer has not been quite as hot as the previous few summers.
For example, Independence Day 2018 and 2019 were SCORCHERS. Independence Day 2020 was still pretty warm. This year, not so much...
On top of that, July was a lot rainier than it normally is. But, then again, we really did need the extra rain.
