There's no better family entertainment for your buck than the Portland Sea Dogs. It's good, clean, exciting fun for the whole family. But the Sea Dogs aren't just all about baseball. They're also big on giving back to the community, and to those in need. At every home game the crowd is asked to wave to the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital, visible from Hadlock Field.

The Sea Dogs have always been very involved with kids who need medical attention. Even back in 1997 when the Sea Dogs, together with the Maine Children's Cancer Program, asked 6 year old Graham Morissette to join the team as the Slugger Kid.

Recently, Graham's mother shared this story of how the Portland Sea Dogs had her son who was battling cancer join the team for a period of time:
