Maine Vs Rhody Preview

Two CAA teams that badly need a win will meet in Kingston, Rhode Island today when the Maine Black Bears take on the Rhody Rams.

Maine is 2-5, 1-3 in the conference. URI is 0-7, 0-3 CAA.

The teams meet for the 93rd time and here are some the stat storylines...

-  Maine leads the series 55-34-3. That includes seven straight wins for the Bears and 11 out of the last 12.

-  Last year the Bears racked up 500 yards of offense in a 41-0 win.

-  Maine will have a true freshman quarterback starter in Drew Belcher. URI has a redshirt fresman in James Caparell

-  UM coach Jack Cosgrove is in his 22nd year. Rhody coach Jim Flemming is in his first year.
