According to CBS Boston, a Maine man has died while tubing behind a boat Sunday on Sebago Lake.

37-year-old Corey Wilcox of Brunswick was riding on a tube that was being pulled behind a 22-foot-long pontoon boat when witnesses indicate he began showing signs of distress. When the other occupants of the boat noticed that something wasn't right they stopped the boat near New Place Cove and swam out to provide aid to Wilcox.

Another boat that was nearby at the time was able to pull Wilcox from the water and call emergency personnel. Sadly, Wilcox was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife say the man was not wearing a life vest at the time of the accident and that rough conditions on the lake may have contributed to the death.
