The Country Music Hall of Fame will be welcoming a new exhibit on Lynn Anderson later this year. The exhibit, Lynn Anderson: Keep Me in Mind, is scheduled to open in September.

Lynn Anderson: Keep Me in Mind is named after Anderson's No. 1 song from 1973. It will be open from Sept. 15 through June 24, 2018. Anderson passed away in 2015, at the age of 67, after suffering a heart attack; she had been hospitalized with pneumonia following a trip to Italy and died at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Anderson signed her first record deal, with Chart Records, at the age of 19, in 1966. Between 1966 and 1970, she placed five singles in the Top 10 on Billboard's country charts. Out of all of her hits, however, the singer was perhaps best known for her rendition of the song “(I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden;” that song became a massive pop crossover hit in the early 1970s and earned Anderson a Grammy Awards trophy.

In both 1967 and 1970, Anderson was named the Academy of Country Music's Top Female Vocalist, and in 1971 she was named as the Country Music Association's Female Vocalist of the Year. In addition to her music career, Anderson was an avid equestrian and a regular on TV.

“Anderson’s television background and her ability to bring show-business dynamism to recordings and concert performances helped her achieve crossover success,” says Country Music Hall of Fame museum CEO Kyle Young in a press release. “With talent and tenacity, the country music star brought increased visibility to the genre in the 1960s and ’70s, and we are privileged to share her story with our guests.”
